Layla Turns 2!!!

Another year has passed! We made it
Its amazing how much time passes and how much things change
One thing that hasn't changed since last year has been my love.
My love for Layla
For all the little things she does that make me laugh, smile
Even get frustrated. She is a healthy two year old little girl
Yes there are times when she has meltdowns and mommy gets impatient
But I love my daughter and I wouldn't trade any of those little things for the world
She is one of the most polite little girls I know
But she also has the attitude to go with it
She keeps growing and every moment she amazes me
She teaches me daily and reminds me I need to learn patience
She teaches me how to love and I learn so much from her
This year she has started walking
She knows sooo many words especially the word no
(We definitely have to watch what we say around her)
She can put on her own shoes, break into the childproof cupboards
Layla is one smart cookie and yes I am going to brag a bit :)
I've always had a good baby and although this year she has tested me a bit
She still remains number 1 in my heart
So here's to Layla!
Bring on the terrible twos because
There's nothing terrible about you!
Love Mama

Baptism BBQ

Getting Layla and myself baptized was nothing that had to be thought of. I knew from the moment I was pregnant that this would be a necessary requirement. I have always thought of myself to be Catholic, well maybe more of a bad Catholic since I had struggled with going to church and sometimes not always doing the right thing. This was a fresh start. Something that I want Layla to always have in life. Faith. Hope. Love. And the many other things this religion will bring to her. And myself of course. So before the big moment we had a little party. Thanks to her God parents for sharing their home with us. They are amazing friends.

Halloween 2010

This year I was definitely looking forward to taking Layla on her first trick or treating.... I love holidays, and I definitely like celebrating them. This year, I wanted to pick a costume that was different from the regular. As I searched and searched I couldn't find anything that was different. All the costumes for babies are typical. I came across this pink kitty costume, and I thought it would be perfect for my little kitten. Layla enjoyed the whole entire night, although she may not remember it down the road she will have pictures. Creating memories now is what its all about.
