My Photoshoot :P

I find myself, still not knowing how to use my camera and all the functions it has to offer, so what I do is I take about 200 photos lol and hope and pray that I get some good shots. I usually do. Its pretty easy since I have such a gorgeous subject. I try and take a lot of photos each month and save them, its kinda like a quota I try and meet every month... yes cause I'm crazy. I don't want a month to go by and I only have 50 pics. So today we decided to go out and take some pics, out of the 100 and some odd pictures I took I got about 50 or so good ones, not including the ones I haven't posted :) Hope you enjoy

Park time!

Its starting to get really nice out these days, so we decided to go feed to ducks at the park and take a stroll.. Except the fact that my daughter is afraid of the ducks getting too close, she doesn't like grass or the water park we had a good time lol. Grandpa pushed her on the swing, she went down the slide numerous times, snacked, and took a wagon ride around a car show, which she moved to the beat of the music of course. :)

Truck Rides

Ever since my dad got his new truck
I'm not sure who loves truck rides, Layla or my dad?
Layla is always excited to go for car rides, but when Grandpa is home,
truck rides are the main event.
Layla will tell you to turn the music up.
Or she will tell you when to change the song!
She definitely doesn't hesitate and will make it known
what she does and doesn't like.
When you have finally found a song that she approves of
she moves her head back and forth, side to side and kicks her legs!
It really is too cute. And for all those Jersey Shore fans,
Layla does the fist pump! yes that is right, my daughter shares a love
for fist pumping! :)
My parents have even got Layla to attempt to snap her fingers, of course she can't yet
but that doesn't stop her from trying....

Boobies Mine

I haven't been blogging lately... I would have an excuse, except the only excuse I have Teing
Lazy... :)
Last time I was trying to wean Layla. Well it only ended up taking 2 days. I think in her mind, although she would probably have my boobies as her milk bar for who knows how many more months, she always was ok to give it up. 18 months seems like a good amount of time for Layla, especially me! I was ready to be done at 9 months but I continued to give it all I could because in some ways I felt guilty for taking that special time away from us. As well as the benefits. That is something you can never get back. The last few months though had turned into free for alls!! She was trying to come at any time, not just for bedtime.. It was getting out of hand. I was getting tired of it. I wanted my boobies to be MINE AGAIN
No child to be clung to me like a little monkey! Hehe...

THE FIRST NIGHT-
This whole process of getting Layla to not want to nurse was really not about her. The first day I didn't nurse, she knows how to drink from a cup so I just kept saying where's your cup, when she was thirsty. She would would simply find her cup and take a drink. By the end of the day my boobs were full, and rock hard. :( I decided to pump a bit, just to take down the pressure of having what seemed like rocks in my chest. I went to bed and woke up the next morning to find, that although I had pumped it didn't really help. Obviously I was still full and I had a big day ahead of me. I decided to nurse Layla just to make sure that I didn't leak in public and I didn't want to be in pain all day with no pump. Let me tell you it felt amazing!

THE SECOND NIGHT-
By the end of the day I didn't have any more milk build up and I wasn't over flowing or leaking. It was amazing! I haven't had to pump since... As for Layla she is doing great. It hasn't been hard on her at all. I have caught her a couple times try and go for it. But she always backs down. She knows that she doesn't need it. When she showers with me, she will stare and giggle. Im not really sure what that means. Its cute though. I am really happy I waited so long to take her off. It was alot easier than what everyone said it would be and the fact that Layla took to the change so well means that it was ok and I don't feel so guilty about. If I have more children ever I know one thing is for sure....

I will nurse!
